29th Annual Blue Crab Festival

May 15-16, 2010
Hours: Saturday 9am - 8pm & Sunday 9am - 6pm

On January 31 and February1, 2010, Allen Lee, Craig Hill and Hubert Bullard attended the annual Carolina ShowFest conference in Charlotte, North Carolina. This event is designed to educate and recognize all the festivals held in North and South Carolina each year.

The schedule of events included motivational speakers, topics of interest to festival promoters, vendor displays and entertainment possibilities. It is a very busy two days.

An annual awards luncheon concludes the two days. The Blue Crab Festival has won several awards in the past, and this year, we were recognized for having the best tee shirt design for 2009 in the Carolinas. It is the third time in seven years that our souvenirs have been recognized as the best.

Our award winning 2009 logo is featured on this web site. The new 2010 logo is also prominently displayed on the site.

The Blue Crab Festival seeks souvenirs and printed material from past festivals. We are interested in preserving our history. As an example, we frame tee shirts and display them in prominent locations. This helps maintain constant visibility for this great event.

For items selected for our archives, we will present the donor with a unique souvenir package as a token of our thanks. We can also reproduce old tee shirts if you cannot donate them.

If you have an item for the festivals consideration, please see it is identified with your name, address and phone number, and the year the item was produced. Identification is important. Please leave your item or items at the Little River Chamber of Commerce office on Route 17 in Little River. Owners will be contacted by phone promptly.

If you have any questions, please contact Craig Hill at 843-249-1682.
