Rules and Regulations for Food Vendors

Festival to be held on the waterfront in historic Little River, SC, on May 17-18, 2008. Operating
hours will be from 9 am-6 pm on Saturday and 9 am-6 pm on Sunday.

DEADLINE.
April 16 is the deadline for receiving applications. However, booth space is expected
to be sold out much sooner. Applications are accepted on a first come/first serve basis. Specialty
items will be limited to a prescribed number of vendors. A booth photo, layout sketch and a check/
money order must be submitted at time of application. Should vendor not be accepted, check/money
order will be immediately returned.

Letters of acceptance will be issued shortly after vendor being accepted by committee. Vendor should
forward proof of product liability insurance to Blue Crab Festival Committee once accepted.

Vendor spaces will be pre-assigned and will be identified in correspondence sent to vendor prior to
festival. Because of local business parking obligations, most vendors will not be able to set up until
after 1:00 am on Saturday morning, May 17. In a few cases, vendors can set up on Friday afternoon.
All vendors must be set up and operational no later than 9:00 am on Saturday morning, May 17, and
are expected to remain open during all operating hours of festival.

Vendor rent is based on footage requirements. Basic rent is $40.00 per linear foot, $75.00 for 220v
electricity, garbage fee of $25.00

Vendors will be responsible for their own trash/garbage cleanup during and after the festival. Vendors
must provide their own plastic trash bags and remove trash to dumpsters provided by the festival.
After festival closes on Sunday, vendor’s area must be cleaned and all trash removed from the site.
Booths must be dismantled and moved no later than 8:00 am on Monday, May 19.

Each vendor will be provided two (2) gate passes at no charge. Other passes can be purchased for
$5.00 each and will be good for both festival days.

Vendors will be responsible for collecting and reporting their own South Carolina sales tax. Vendor
permits are not required for each individual vendor in that they are covered under the general Blue
Crab Festival permit.

Vendors will be permitted to sell only the items listed on the application and approved by the festival
committee. Coke is the official drink of the Blue Crab Festival, including Coke’s Dasani water. Coke
can be purchased from the Blue Crab Festival at cost.

The sale of alcoholic beverages is prohibited.

Ice will be available for sale in 40 lb. bags by the festival committee.

Security will be provided on the grounds on Friday and Saturday nights.

RVs/motor homes... there is very limited space available for completely self-contained RVs. If you
need such space, vendor should indicated at time of application. Space fee is $50.00

Grease should be disposed of properly. Capt. Juel’s Hurricane Restaurant has consented to disposing
grease in his container.
